| Question 21193: Assalamu Alaikum Mufti Sahab,
One of my friend has ask this question and I was not able to answer him, because i never has think of that question and I have never heard from someone asking that kind of question, he is Muslim.
He would like to ask a question related to the 4 books that ALLAH SUBHANATALA has sent to the Prophets:
Tawrat - This is the revelation that ALLAH (SUBHANATALA) sent to Hazrat Musa (Peace be upon him)
Zabur - This is the revelation that ALLAH (SUBHANATALA) sent to Hazrat Dawud (Peace be upon him)
Injeel - This is the revelation that ALLAH (SUBHANATALA) sent to Hazrat Eesa (Peace be upon him)
Quran - This is the revelation that ALLAH (SUBHANATALA) sent to Hazrat Muhamamd (Peace be upon him)
The main question is:
Is Dawud (PBUH) ummah is still alive in this earth, if they are alive, are they among of one of us, and if they are not alive, where they are and how the ummah is disappear?

I received a forward email from my friend about the story of Hazrat Bayazid Bastami.It was that he had a dream in which he was dressed as a rabbi(jewish leader). So when he awoke he decided to dress as a jew and went to the synagogue. The rabbi couldnt speak at once and said that there is a Mohammadi here. The story is pretty long but from there on the rabbi made a deal with him that they would not kill him unless he answers every single one of his questions correctly. I wasnt sure if the story had any truth at all so could you please tell me if its authentic and if so, please provide with a reference as to where it comes from, such as any hadith book or somewhere else. Amir b. Sa''d b. Abi Waqqas reported on the authority of his father that Muawiya b. Abi Sufyin appointed Sa''d as the Governor and said: What prevents you from abusing Abu Turab (Hadrat ''Ali), whereupon be said: It is because of three things which I remember Allah''s Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said about him that I would not abuse him and even if I find one of those three things for me, it would be more dear to me than the red camelg. I heard Allah''s Messenger (may peace be upon him) say about ''Ali as he left behind hrin in one of his campaigns (that was Tabuk). ''All said to him: Allah''s Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah''s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to him: Aren''t you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We have been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call ''Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed:" Let us summon our children and your children."
